William "Bill" Charles Peacock, III

William "Bill" Charles Peacock, III, 92, of Jonesboro, passed away on May 29, 2021. Services will be held at Morrow United Methodist Church on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at the church beginning at 10:00 am. 

Bill was born and grew up in Chicago, IL. He married and had 2 boys. He then relocated to FL to pursue his dream of becoming a sea captain on a fishing boat. He and his wife later had a daughter. With a growing family he changed careers to become management with Vert-a-ray (Lier Siegler). During this time, he also moved to AL. and later to GA and settled in Jonesboro. He retired in 1987 and went to work with his son at GMS Business Communications. He retired again in 2017.

 He is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Jean; son, William C Peacock, IV; parents, Sig and William Peacock, Jr; brother, Ronnie Peacock; sister, Joyce Kozinski. He is survived by is wife, Kathleen Rudd Peacock; sons, Robert E. (Pennie) and W. Joseph Peacock; daughters, Barbara Jean Piecinsky, Virginia Peacock Hall (Jon), and brother Roger (Carla). Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, John, Robbie and Greg (Lindsay) Peacock, Angela Peacock Osgood, Jena Merchant Powell (Andrew), Raven Piecinsky Perry, Chamberlin and Dakota Piecinsky and Connery Hall, 8 great grandchildren, Brittany, Laura, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Aston and Anslee Peacock, Michael Osgood and Matilda Powell.
