William Douglas Barr

William D. Barr, 77, of Rex, passed away on January 29, 2023. A graveside service for interment of ashes will be held at The Rock Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm. Chaplain Mark Tyman will be officiating. 

Mr. Barr was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Ferris; brother, Donald Barr, Sr., parents, Emory and June Barr. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Edna Barr of Rex; daughters, Melinda Maddox (Chris) of Statesboro, Melanie Bounds of Riverdale, Kimmy Buttrum of Rex, and Teresa Stewart of Covington, sister, Martha Beland of Ormond, FL., 4 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; niece, Carrie Sue Glass and Elizabeth Beland; nephews, Donald Barr (Tammy) and Daniel Barr (Lorrie).
