Tan Nguyen

Tan Van Nguyen, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on November 25, 2023, in Jonesboro, Georgia. He was born on December 8, 1934, in Cai Lay, Viet Nam. Tan led a remarkable life filled with love and dedication to his family and community.

Tan was employed at Allen Co., where he worked tirelessly for 10 years before retiring. His commitment and hard work were admired by colleagues and friends alike. Tan's contributions during his tenure at Allen Co. will always be remembered.

Outside of his professional life, Tan was a man of faith who found joy in reading and bible study. He approached life with a friendly and loving demeanor and was devoted to ministering to others. His warm personality left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.

One of Tan's proudest accomplishments was his journey to America, where he and his wife Huot Thi Tran built a beautiful life for their family. They embraced the opportunities that this new chapter presented them and created a loving home filled with warmth and happiness.

In addition to his loving wife of 53 years, Huot Thi Tran, Tan is survived by his sons Dung Tri Nguyen and wife Huynh Thi Nam, Oai Tri Nguyen and wife Nguyen Thi Kim Xuyen, Hung Tri Nguyen and wife Thien Trang Hua Pham, Cuong Hung Tri Nguyen and wife Loan Nguyen. His legacy also continues through his three grandsons, six granddaughters, one great-grandson, and one great-granddaughter.

Tan's commitment extended beyond family; he also served in the offices of the Armed Forces in Viet Nam. His dedication to his country showcased his selflessness and patriotism.

The loss of Tan will be deeply felt by all who knew him. To honor his memory and celebrate his life, visitation services will be held on December 1, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors in Morrow, Georgia. The funeral service will take place on December 2, 2023, starting at 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM, also at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors. Following the funeral service, a final gathering will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, Georgia.

Tan Van Nguyen was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many through his kindness, hard work, and dedication. His memory will forever remain in our hearts as we remember him for his loving spirit and devotion to family and community. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
