Ellenwood, Georgia

Steven Lewis Morris Sr., affectionately known as "Papa", "Unc", and in the community known as "Coach Steve", was a dedicated family man, coach, blue-collar worker, and entrepreneur (M & M Mowing and Moving). On March 7, 2024, in Peachtree City, Georgia, Steven passed away at 67 years of life. He was born on April 14, 1956, in Lima, Ohio at Lima Memorial hospital and was a graduate of Lima Senior High School, Class of 1974. Steven was joined together in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Angela Elizabeth Morris, neé Freeman, on September 23, 1977. She preceded him in death on June 27, 2023.

In 2007, Steven retired from Ford Motor Company, after spending 25 years in the Chassis Department, as a QC Inspector and Assembly Relief Utility.

Throughout his life, Steven was known for his love and devotion to his family and community, and for his passions for traveling and sports. As a young adult, he traveled the country and continued to do so throughout the course of his life. He was an avid fan of “The Ohio State University” and the “Los Angeles Lakers”.

Steven cherished and loved his wife of 45 years, Angela, and the family they built together with their five children. His warm personality and caring nature left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Steven is preceded in death by his wife Angela Elizabeth Morris; mother Alice Louise Morris Robinson (Henry), step-father Lewis Turner Morris, and father William Smith; and his special relatives: aunts Annie Lee Holmes, Katheryne Pea, and Mary Gross; and uncle Morris Simpson (Wilma); and cousin Thomas Pea (Janice); and special friends Craig Simpson and Angelo Williams.

He will be dearly missed by his surviving family including his children: Jacque T. Morris (Tammie), Stevinia Johnson, neé Morris, Devin Morris (Cherelle), Anjelica Williams (Rodrigus), and Steven L. Morris Jr.; and his grandchildren: Tekeyra Smith (Marcellus), Jacque T. Morris II, Gabriel Johnson Jr., Jacari Morris, Rodrigus Williams II, Gabriel Johnson III, Madison Morris, Devin Morris II, Marleigh Morris, and Meadow Morris.
