Robert Nash, 80, veteran, of Hampton, passed away on January 18, 2021. Mr. Nash was born in Athens, Ga on March 23, 1940 to the late, Robert E. Nash and Ruby G. Looney Nash.
Robert graduated from Social Circle High School, Class of 1959. He served his country in two branches of the military, Air Force and Army. His military service began right after high school with the Air Force and was stationed in South Korea. Next, he joined the Army and did a tour of duty in Germany serving as a Military Police for a length of time. He enjoyed watching old westerns, wrestling, and game shows. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loving to be outdoors. He was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend. Always willing to lend a hand. He will be greatly missed. A private family service will be held in our chapel on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Stockbridge City Cemetery. The family will have a visitation prior to service beginning at 11:00 am. Due to Covid-19 concerns services will be limited to close family only.
He is survived by his sister, Pat Poole (Bill) of Rex and numerous nieces and nephews.
