Richard Alexander Peacock, affectionately known as Ricky, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 11, 2024, in Barnesville, Georgia. He was born on March 23, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia. Ricky was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of everyone he met.

Though Ricky had a disability that limited his communication abilities, he found solace and warmth in the compassionate care provided by the staff at Heritage Inn of Barnesville. Despite his challenges, Ricky always managed to convey his needs and desires to them, forging deep and meaningful connections along the way.

With a funny and laid-back personality, Ricky was known for his go-with-the-flow attitude. He had a keen sense of humor that never failed to brighten people's days. However, he also had a temper when people didn't understand what he wanted; a testament to his strong-willed character.

Ricky had numerous hobbies and interests that brought joy into his life. He derived great pleasure from watching baseball, with an unwavering love for the Atlanta Braves. The sound of music resonated deeply with him, and he cherished moments spent listening to his favorite tunes. Ricky had an undeniable fondness for Coca-Cola and relished every sip. Sitting outside and soaking up nature's beauty was one of life's simple pleasures that he treasured dearly. Additionally, watching television provided him with hours of entertainment and comfort.

On February 13, 2024, friends and family will gather at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors located at 6362 South Lee St., Morrow, GA 30260 for visitation starting from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. This will be followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. The final resting place for Ricky will be Fairview Memorial Gardens at 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281. The interment ceremony will commence at 2:30 PM.

Ricky is preceded in death by his mother Ina Peacock, father Alec Peacock, and sister Jeannie Skinner. He is survived by many family members who will forever cherish the memories they created together.

As we bid farewell to Ricky, let us remember him for his indomitable spirit and the joy he brought into our lives. His legacy will continue to live on through the love and laughter he shared, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
