Mickey Isaac Turner

Mickey Isaac Turner, 62, of Jackson, GA passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held in his honor on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Thomas Scroggs Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation for family and friends to gather will be held between the hours of 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Mickey will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens following the service.

Mickey is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Marie Turner of Jackson, GA.; sons, Dustan Turner of Griffin, GA and Brandon Turner & wife Jessica of Griffin, GA; daughter, Ashley Turner Peters & husband Matt of Jackson, GA; brothers, Johnny Turner & wife Isabel of McDonough, GA and Ricky Turner of Forest Park, GA; grandchildren, Triston Reid, Haley Reid, Kali Muller, Reid Turner, Chanse Peters, Colton Turner, and Easton Peters great-granddaughter Raeleigh Reid; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Polly Turner and sister, Reba Patterson.

Mickey Isaac Turner was born Thursday, June 22, 1961 in Atlanta, GA to James & Polly Turner. He married his best friend and the love of his life, Sheila Ellenburg Turner and they had 45 wonderful years together. He drove truck for FedEx Freight and retired after 15 years of service. In his free time, Mickey enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, NASCAR, and working with his hands. He had a welcoming personality and made friends everywhere he went. It is said he never met a stranger. Mickey’s family meant everything to him, he “loved big” and would always go above and beyond for them. He was a hard worker and an excellent provider. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. His presence will be forever missed.
