Mattie "Louise" Chapman

Mattie "Louise" Chapman, 96, of Jackson, passed away on September 4, 2023.Services will be held at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11:00 am. Rev. Terrell Hopkins and Rev. Jimmy Wiggins will be officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 4 pm - 7 pm. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Chapman; daughter, Jayneen Chapman, great granddaughter, Mollie Palmer, and 4 siblings. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Charles Chapman (Susie), sisters, Odessa Fields, Geraldine Van Riper, Vetrice Murphy (Billy), and Bertha Morgan; brother, Jimmy Wiggins, grandchildren, Nealey Palmer (John), Amanda Smith (Mike), Charles Neal Chapman, Jr. (Christy), and James Dale Chapman (Danielle),14 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
