Mary “Lynn” Meadows
Mary “Lynn” Meadows, a woman whose life was defined by her deep love of family, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion. She was born on December 11, 1955, in Dothan, Alabama, and later made her home in Woodstock, Georgia, where she built a life centered around those she cherished most.
Lynn retired from the Federal Aviation Administration in 2010, where she built lasting friendships that she treasured throughout the years. She was known to be strong yet quiet, with a big, generous heart, and she never sought to be the center of attention. Her kindness was often expressed through her actions- always giving, always caring, and always thinking of others before herself.
Over the years, Lynn also supported causes close to her heart, including the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, the American Cancer Society, Southwest Christian Care, and MUST Ministries.
Lynn was a proud member of a large and close-knit family, which meant everything to her. She found her greatest joy in the moments shared with loved ones and in the bonds she nurtured throughout her life. Her gentle spirit and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William “Frasier” Meadows and Grace J. Meadows, as well as her niece, Amy Bristow.
Lynn is survived by a devoted and loving family who will continue to honor her memory. She is survived by her sister, Elaine Bristow and husband Bill; brother, Larry Meadows and wife Brenda, and brother Gene Meadows and wife Dottie.
Her greatest joys in life were her nieces and nephews, whom she loved deeply: Stacey Rayburn (Gary), Stephanie Loehr (Todd), Andy Bristow (Niki), Jason Meadows (Brandi), Jeanan Martin (Greg), Jennifer McCray (Thomas), Russ Meadows (Sophie), and Deena Cook (Mike).
She also leaves behind a treasured group of great-nieces and nephews who brought her immense pride and happiness: Ray Rayburn, Ashley Kerwood, Tori Teske (Caleb), Taylor Akin (Justin), Madison-Grace Bristow, Thomas Kerwood, Joshua Bristow, McKenzie McCray (Colden), Emma Meadows, Alexis McCray, Rylee Meadows, Marietta Martin (Josh), Joey Meadows, Anna Beth Martin, Tyler Cook, and Abbey Cook.
Lynn’s loving heart continued to grow with the newest additions to the family, her great-great nieces and nephew, Channing, Callahan, and Elizabeth, who brought her tremendous joy.
Lynn will be remembered for her big heart, her quiet strength, her generosity, and the unwavering love she had for her family. While she preferred to remain out of the spotlight, the light she brought into the lives of others will never fade. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.
Services will be held Monday, May 18, 2026 at noon with visitation starting at 11:00 at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Home, Morrow, GA. Service will be followed by graveside at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens- 722 Conely Road, Forest Park, GA 30297.
