Ruth Maloy

Mary Ruth Maloy, age 95, of Morrow, Georgia, went to her heavenly home on December 27, 2018 at Southwest Christian Care with loved ones at her side. Ruth was born on April 23, 1923 in Chattahoochee, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bell Kidd, her first husband, James Claude "JC" Dockery, and her second husband, Charlie Woodard Maloy; daughter, Janice Dockery; brothers, Samuel Kidd and Charlie Kidd; sisters, Margie Bailey, Maxine Akin, and Joyce Wehunt. Ruth loved her family, was generous, enjoyed traveling, and her ladies card group. Most of her working career was at American Associated and later at Honey Creek Golf Club.

She is survived by her daughters, Voneva (Michael) Weidemann of Glenview, IL, and Vicki (Harvie) Berry of Morrow, GA; four grandchildren, Tracy (Ron)Berridge of Stockbridge, GA, Stacy (Chris) Smith of McDonough, GA, Harvie (Kristie) Berry, Jr., of Greenville, SC, and Emalee (Brent) Quickel of Baltimore, MD; and seven great grandchildren, Ian (Emily) and Ariana Berridge, Joshua and Nathaniel Smith, and Isabella, Annabella, and Sophia Berry, many other family members, including Deborah Edgar, who helped with Ruth's care in her last years.

In keeping with Mrs. Maloy’s wishes services will remain private.
