Martin Lee Allen, age 88, of Jonesboro, GA passed away peacefully on December 4, 2019. Martin was born to
William and Maggie Allen on August 19, 1931. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife,
Barbara; sister, Anita; brothers, James and Bill.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret Allen Cooke; brother, Bob; stepsons, Roger and David Greenway.
Martin was born in Atlanta and graduated from Hoke Smith High School. He was an Army veteran serving in the 82nd
Airborne and Georgia National Guard. Martin retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electricians (IBEW)
Services will be held at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Dr. Tommy Aman will be officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2pm-5pm.
