An angel from the Book of Life wrote down my baby's birth and whispered as she closed the book...too beautiful for this Earth. Heaven’s gain was our loss when our baby, Leighton Aurora Lemay, was called by our Lord on July 18, 2021. Services to celebrate her life will be held at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm. The family will be receiving friends prior to service beginning at 12 pm.
Leighton was preceded in death by her father, Derek Knight Lemay. She is survived by her mother, Calitreus Evans; sister, Blair A. Evans; maternal grandmother, Erica Jackson; maternal grandfather, Derry Jackson, paternal grandmother, Belinda Curry; paternal grandfather, Haywood Lemay; maternal great grandmother, Betty Evans; paternal great grandmother, Wanda Shields, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
