 We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of David "Jude" Miles, aged 21, who left us far too early on May 2nd, 2024, in Griffin, GA. He was the loving son of David and Jennifer Miles and brother to Lily, Allison, and Meredith Miles, all of which he cherished dearly.

 Jude was just beginning his professional life. He loved working with his hands and building unique creations from anything he could find. He dabbled a bit in welding for a while and loved making things for people. He was always building something new. At the time of his death, he was an industrial pump mechanic by trade. He loved talking about his work and was proud to tell you about the new skills he had learned. In the evenings after work, he loved sitting outside in the nighttime air and just relaxing.

 Jude was a very giving person and loved to help people. In June 2023, he came upon a car accident that had just happened. He ran over and immediately pulled a young woman out of her smoking car. He was such an intentional guy. He had a huge heart and genuinely cared about people.  He was fearless, yet he had such a gentle spirit. He especially loved his family. He was fiercely protective of his sisters and his cousins, Annabelle, and Lottie. Jude loved Jesus. He found such joy in helping others and was a lifelong member of Henry Baptist Church. 

 In his free time, Jude was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish, hike, and spend time in nature exploring the outdoors.  He was always outside. He loved guns and knives and all the "guy stuff". Jude enjoyed sewing with leather and had so many creations. He loved classic country music. He has been described as an old soul. He was known for his sense of humor and wit and always had a funny comment. He would come in dirty with mud on his boots and would track it everywhere...it is the little things like that will be sorely missed.

 Jude is survived by his parents, David Miles of Peachtree City, GA and Jennifer Miles of Griffin, GA.; sisters, Lily Miles, Allison Miles, and Meredith Miles of Griffin, GA, grandparents, Bruce & Betty Anne White and Randy Miles, and Mary Atkins; great-grandparents, Billy & Reba Miles, and Dolores Kordet; Uncle Joel & Aunt Brooke White, Aunt Renee’ Taylor, Uncle Randall & Aunt Sabrina Miles, and Aunt Brittany Miles; several cousins, and many friends. 

A visitation for family and friends to gather will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Thomas Scroggs Funeral Directors. A Funeral Service will be held in his honor on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Henry Baptist Church with Dr. Archie Norman officiating.
