Joy Huie, 93, of Jonesboro, passed away on December 29, 2021. Services will be held at Thomas Scroggs Funeral Directors on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 1:00 pm. The family will be receiving friends prior to service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, Georgia on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm. The family is requesting that masks be worn to attend services.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Oliver "Malcolm" Huie, Jr., and her brothers, Hermand E. Roland and William Clifton Roland. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Huie of Jonesboro; son, Mal Huie of Jackson; grandchildren, Hanna Huie and Hayley Huie; nephews, Scott Holloway, Ronnie Roland, and Terry Roland; nieces, Donna DeLisle and Nancy Suarez and numerous other nephews and nieces.
