Jonathan Bustamante Zuniga

March 27, 2002 — November 5, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Jonathan Bustamante Zuniga, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. Jonathan's bright spirit and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Born on March 27, 2002 in Riverdale, GA, Jonathan was the loving son of Benjamin Bustamante Sanchez and Leticia Zuniga Vargas. He was a remarkable individual who lived life to the fullest and left an indelible mark on all those he encountered.

Jonathan attended Forest Park High School. Although his formal education may have been cut short, he possessed a profound wisdom that surpassed any classroom knowledge. Jonathan had a deep thirst for knowledge and always pursued new opportunities to learn and grow.

Known for his quiet and reserved demeanor, Jonathan had an uncanny ability to inspire those around him with his kind heart and gentle nature. His words were few but carried weight and meaning beyond measure. He had a way of making everyone feel valued and loved simply by being in his presence.

In his free time, Jonathan enjoyed playing soccer with friends and watching NASCAR races. The thrill of the Atlanta Motor Speedway captured his imagination, igniting a passion for speed that fueled his dreams of becoming a Barber someday. His aspirations were born out of a desire to cultivate beauty in others through his artistic skills.

Above all else, family meant everything to Jonathan. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating priceless memories that will continue to live on in their hearts. His loving spirit brought joy and laughter into their lives, leaving an enduring legacy of love that will forever be cherished.

Jonathan is survived by his father Benjamin Bustamante Sanchez, mother Leticia Zuniga Vargas, brothers Omar Zuniga and Christopher Zuniga, sister Jannely Zuniga, grandmother Carmela Vargas, grandfather Celso Bustamante, great-grandmother Laura Dominguez, and Uncle Armando Morales. He was a source of pride and immense love for his family and his loss will be deeply felt by all.

A Funeral Mass to honor Jonathan's life will take place on November 17, 2023, at 6:00 PM at San Felipe De Jesus Catholic Church located at 925 Conley Road in Forest Park, GA.
