Mr. Johnny Fitzgerald, Jr. was born on January 26, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Mr. Johnny Fitzgerald, Sr. and the late Mrs. Curley Mae Fitzgerald. He was affectionately known as Boo Boo. He was the eldest of five children. Johnny received his education in the public schools of Fulton County, Georgia. Johnny was employed and retired from the Southern Pan Company of 25 years.
A beloved father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. Johnny went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 12th. God saw His servant was getting tired, so He dispatched his angels of Grace and Mercy and summoned His servant home. Johnny fought a good fight, finished the course, kept the faith, and now the crown of righteousness was awaiting his glory. His friendly smile and humorous personality will be remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends. He can now breathe on his own and walk and run the streets paved with Gold.
Preceding Johnny in death were his parents, the late Mr. Johnny Fitzgerald, Sr., and Mrs. Curley Mae Fitzgerald and his two brothers, Mr. Donald Fitzgerald, and Mr. Curtis Fitzgerald.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Wanda Freeman, of College Park, GA; four sons, Mr. Lonnie (Elaine) Fitzgerald of McDonough, GA; Mr. Johnny Bolton, Sr. of College Park, GA; Mr. Antonio (Mercedes) Bolton of Atlanta, GA; Kelvin Bolton of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Priscilla Wiley and Mrs. Joyce (Porter) Butler, One sister-in-law Mrs. Ola Fitzgerald; all of Atlanta; GA; Sixteen (16) grandchildren and two (2) great-grandchildren.
Johnny was loved by so many and had many friends, and co-workers. He is also survived by his fiancé, Mary Wooten; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.
