John E. Smith, of Jonesboro, passed away on June 7, 2020. He was a member of Hapeville Masonic Lodge # 590 F&AM and Yaarab Shrine Temple. A graveside service will be held at Salem #2 Baptist Church in Mineral Bluff, Ga. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, JoAnn Smith; daughters, Kimberly Holt (Tim) of Covington; son, Mark Smith (Cindy) of McDonough; sister, Brenda Lee Smith of Griffin; brother, Barry Smith (Terry) of Griffin; grandchildren, Kelly Holt, Katarina Brack (DJ), Corey Smith, Carley Stubbs (Jenna); 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
