Mrs. Jewell Marie Culps Adamson, a resident of Rex, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the remarkable age of 91. Jewell's life was one of love, strength, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
Jewell was born to Mildred and Jerome Culps in Madison, Alabama, on May 31, 1932. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, of forty-eight years, Reese Adamson, her brothers William Culps and Jerry Culps, and her son, Joel Adamson.
Jewell found solace and strength through her faith and was a devoted founding member of the Henry Baptist Church in McDonough, GA. Her commitment to her church community was a testament to her unwavering faith and her desire to serve others.
She was a caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Jewell's genuine kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered as a pillar of support and encouragement. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and her presence brought joy and warmth to every gathering. Jewell was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones, creating cherished memories that will forever be treasured. In addition to her family, Jewell enjoyed playing cards, riding horses, and traveling.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Susan and Jay Jackson, David and Sherry Adamson, Dennis Adamson, Allan Adamson; niece and spouse: Lynette and Ray Sims and additional niece and nephews; grandchildren and their spouse, Elizabeth (Daniel) Huggins, Justin (Brandi) Adamson, Rebecca (Brian) Truax, Courtney (Doug) Widener, David (Mallory) Adamson, Jr., Lucas Adamson, Marie (Brady) Lovern, Ray (Mandi) Adamson, and Ben Adamson. She was also blessed with fifteen great-grandchildren, who will carry her love and spirit with them throughout their lives.
