Jerry E Gatlin Sr.

Jerry Eugene Gatlin, Sr. of Forsyth, Georgia passed away on December 14, 2025. Born on September 14, 1947. He was a devoted father to his kids and husband to his wife Valerie.

He was a retired MSgt from the United States Air Force.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents James and Francis Gatlin and his wife Valerie Gatlin. He is survived by his children Melinda Johnson (Dwain) of Forsyth, Georgia, and Jerry Gatlin (Asonia) of Henry County, Georgia and his cherished grandchildren Brittany Neill (Jonathan), Jessica Hunter (Keith), and Savannah Johnson and great grandchildren Aria, Abigail, Terra, Leo, and Apollo. He is also survived by his sister Debbie Mitchell of Henry County, Georgia.

A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at Thomas L Scroggs Funeral Directors on December 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Tom Miller will be officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior. The interment will be held at Morrow Cemetery following the service.
