James R. (Randy) Coggins
Randy was born in Calhoun, GA in February 1948 to Henry and Frances Coggins. He has two sisters, Debra and Judy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol, two step-daughters, Rachel and Katie, who he loves as his own, and one son Todd. He has 6
grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents, and his sons, Jimmy and Tony.
He served in the U.S. Army, and did one tour of duty in Viet Nam.
His true passion in life was the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He spent his time serving Veterans and their families. He served as Post 5080
Commander numerous times, District Commander, Department
Commander, and National Council Member. He was a dedicated Veterans Advocate and fought for their benefits.
He was supportive of the Veterans Auxiliary, and was there to help with their needs, fundraisers, and would do all he could to help them.
All who knew him (or most) loved him. He was grateful for all he had, and shared freely with others. He was a kind and loving man and will be missed by all. Please keep him in your prayers and your hearts, and know that he
will miss being with you too. Life won't be the same without him, but go on we must.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 2, 2024 at 12:00PM. There will be a visitation an hour prior. The interment will take place following the service at Morrow Cemetery
