Gail Higgins Cheek

Gail Cheek, of Jonesboro, passed away on February 29, 2020. Services will be held at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Minister Richard Harp will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 pm - 8 pm. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Berdie Higgins; sisters, Dean, Jerry, and Alma; brother, Aubrey. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Don Cheek; sons, Charles Carter of Jonesboro, Steve Carter (Dedra) of Hampton, Lee Carter (Camey) of Olive Branch, MS; step-daughters, Donna Gilchrist (Tommy) of McDonough, Sharon Delbridge of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Sylvia Dickens of Spring Lake, NC; step-son, Ed Norwood (Pam) of Easley, SC., 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations go towards Tara Church of Christ, 1620 Hwy 138, Jonesboro, Ga. 30236.
