Elizabeth Wheeler, known affectionately as Beth to her family and friends, passed away in Jonesboro, Georgia. Born on February 24th, 1934, she lived a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and compassion.

Beth's professional journey was marked by dedication and service. She worked tirelessly for 15 years as a civilian for the United States Army at Fort McPherson, serving as an administrative assistant. After her tenure with the Army, Beth embarked on a new chapter of entrepreneurship by owning and operating Tom Thumb Daycare for an impressive 30 years, touching the lives of many children until she retired.

Not only was Beth committed to her career, but she also cherished her role as the heart of her family. She was the glue that held everyone together, always hosting joyous family gatherings from reunions to Christmas celebrations. Her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her loving family, whom she adored beyond measure.

In addition to her professional and familial roles, Beth found joy in various hobbies and interests. She loved playing cards, exploring different parts of the world through travel, and showcasing her culinary skills by cooking for her loved ones. Her social spirit shone through her involvement in organizations like the Daughters of the Nile for over 48 years and founding the Jonesboro chapter of the Red Hat Society Scarlets Starlets.

Growing up worshipping at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jonesboro, where she also shared her musical talent by playing the organ, Beth's faith was an integral part of her life. She lived out her values of care and kindness in every aspect of her being.

Beth's warm personality endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Described as caring, lively, and an avid conversationalist, she was a social butterfly who brightened every room she entered.

Elizabeth Wheeler leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be held dear by those who survive her. She is survived by her daughters Melanie Holzworth (and husband David), Connie Robison (and husband Jim), grandchildren Allen (and wife Lisa), Amanda (and husband Bob), Chaia, Leah, Hanna, Donna, Breanna, Tori; nine great-grandchildren; her best friend Marcene Fields; along with numerous other family members and friends.
