Buford Rex Perry, Sr.

Buford R. Perry, Sr., of Forest Park, passed away on February 10, 2021. Buford was born in Tennessee on May 10, 1939 to the late Slayton Elbert and Mary Jane Proctor Perry. He was a member of Moore's Temple Baptist Church. He spent most of his life working as a truck driver, but later retired to  drive a school bus for the Clayton County school system. He was a proud family man who will be greatly missed. 

Services will be held at Moore's Temple Baptist Church, 4075 Jonesboro Rd, Hampton, GA on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm. He will lie in state at 12:00 pm. Pastor Jake Hayslip and Buford Perry, Jr. will be officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5pm-8pm. The family is requiring a mask be worn during all services.

Buford is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lyda Perry; daughter, C Morris (Thomas) of Griffin; sons, Buford Perry, Jr. (Ila) and John Perry (Todd Briske) of Forest Park; sister, Ethel Kratz (Jason) of Joelton, TN; brother, Horace Perry of Cumming; grandchildren, Rex Perry, Cash Morris, Jesse Perry (Elisha), Carlee Duecker, Brandon Smith (Jenna), and Josh Smith; great grandchildren, Oliver, Payton, Raelyn, Anslee, Alley, June, Trevor, and Tyler; numerous nieces and nephews.
