Benny Joe Forsyth

Benny Forsyth, 78, of Conley, passed away on June 22, 2020. Services will be held at Thomas Scroggs Funeral Directors on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11:00 am. Pastor Steve Foster will be officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 pm - 8 pm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Clarence Forsyth and Jodi Anne Hicks Forsyth; sisters, Ophelia Nix and Mary Ann French; brothers, Odell Forsyth and Dorsey Forsyth. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Leah Forsyth; children, Janet Forsyth of Palmetto, JoAnne Scarbrough (Troy) of Sharpsburg, Jeanie Lynn Terry (Mark) of Franklin, Jeff Forsyth of Palmetto, Linda Middlebrooks of Hapeville, Sandra Humphries of Lawrenceville, Lee Wilson of Forest Park, and Nancy Edwards (Kenneth) of Hapeville, Edward Middlebrooks (Nettie Lou) of Rochelle, and Stephen Turner (Cleo) of Hogansville; sisters, Melba Camp (Wayne) of Douglasville, Evelyn Zucker (Harold) of Flintstone, Paulette Newberry (Cleve) of Tyrone, and Sandra Cravey (David) of Douglasville; brother, Johnny Forsyth (MaeNell) of Palmetto, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
