Angela Mears Camp, age 52, of Stockbridge, GA, peacefully passed away on September 15, 2025, with her family by her side, at Brightmoor Hospice Center.
Born on May 6, 1973, in Atlanta, GA, Angela was the daughter of Charles Allan Mears, Sr, and Cynthia C. Mears. Growing up playing softball and being a cheerleader, Angela was very passionate about life. She dedicated herself to following and supporting both of her children in whatever sport they were playing at the time. She could always be heard cheering in the stands. Angela also enjoyed spending time with her faithful dog, “Jack”
Angela will be remembered by her children, Alyssa Camp and Austin Camp, her Grandchildren, Laney and Hadley, her Brother Allan Mears, Jr, and family, Camille Chasteen and Larry Griffith, her former husband Tovar Camp, and Kendall Garner and family.
Angela was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Louise Mears, and George and Iris Chasteen, as well as Cecil Hand.
Visitation will be held at Jonesboro First United Methodist Church on Friday, September 19, from 11 am until 1 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the local humane society/animal shelter in her memory.
