Garland D. Kidd, Sr., of Jonesboro, passed away on August 3, 2017. Services will be held in the chapel at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 11:00am-1:00pm prior to service. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Jones-Kidd; daughters, Kelly Askew (Michael) of Hortense and Melinda Myers (Duane) of McDonough; sons, Dennis Kidd (Alexandra) of Sharpsburg, Derek Jones (Penni) of Commerce, and Chris Jones of Cornelia; sisters, Nancy Buchanan, Arneatte Sheets, and Lavonda Sheets; brothers, Isaac Kidd and James Kidd; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
