Patricia Redden Graham (Pat) passed away at her home, peacefully, on April 7,2016. Pat was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 24,1927. Pat also lived in Charlotte, NC and Stockbridge, GA. After graduating from Pinderton Business School, Pat worked as a secretary at Carnegie Institute for four years. Pat married her childhood sweetheart, Frank Richard Graham (Dick), on June 5, 1948 after his service in the Navy during WWII. They first met as children while roller skating. Dick passed away on February 8, 2008, a few months before their 60th wedding anniversary. The most important thing in Pat's life was her family. She achieved her goal of being the best wife and mother, using all of her love and strengths for her family's well-being. Both Pat and Dick strongly encouraged their children and grandchildren to pursue their educations. Pat had many talents and skills. She enjoyed preparing nutritious meals for her family, keeping her home both beautifully decorated and immaculate, dressing fashionably, playing golf and bridge, hosting dinner parties, and traveling. Pat was so beautiful and poised she was recruited to become a model in her 40's. She had many friends. In May, 2014 Pat moved to Dogwood Forest at Eagle's Landing, an assisted living community in Stockbridge. Although Pat had frequent visits from her children and grandchildren while there, she would not have had the same contentment, health and happy moments without the huge amount of love, care, effort and expertise the staff showered upon her. The family is especially thankful to the Assisted Living Director, Vanessa Bogus, and Pat's primary caregivers, Ashley, Briana, Carlina, Dollie and Mamie. The family will be forever grateful. She is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law Jocelyn and Pat McLaughlin; son and daughter-in-law Kevin Graham and Stymie Ohlson; daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Ted Lawson; and, her four grandchildren, Graham, Bryce, Kelley (Clint) and Zoe. A memorial service will be held on June 17,2016 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, 147 Church St., Jonesboro, GA. Ashes internment with those of husband Dick will be in Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh, P A at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite children's charity.
