William "Gene" Wilson

William "Gene" Wilson, of Stockbridge, passed away on January 28, 2016. Mr. Wilson served in the Navy during WWII and was a Blue Mason. He was known as "Plow Boy" while a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (Local Unit 613) for over 70 years. Services will be held at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 2:00pm. Bro. Doug Lawson and Bro. James Ward will be officiating. Interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will be accepting friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2pm-5pm. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Joyce Wilson. He is survived by his daughter, Dianne Campbell(Bob) of Edgewater, Fl.; sisters, Ivanell Barbour(Wilson) of Stockbridge and Jeanette Bullington of Union City; grandchildren, Joy Bohannon of Stockbridge and Teri Paulk(Chris) of Stockbridge; great grandchildren, Cassandra Jordan, Chesney Jordan, Logan Entrabartolo, Dylan Entrabartolo, KayBella Bohannon, and Sara Grace Paulk. Mr. Wilson was a member at Brushy Knob Baptist Church, 455 Gardner Rd, Stockbridge, GA 30281. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the general fund of the church.
