Jane Davis

Vera Jane Wright Davis, 69 yrs, of Ellenwood, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 following an extended illness. Jane was married to Douglas Waymond Davis in 1970. Jane was the daughter of the late Vermon and Sylvia Matheson Wright. She was born on May 24 1946 in Cornelia, GA and graduated from South Habersham High School and North Georgia Tech. She is retired from the DOT where she worked most of her life. She was originally a member of Level Grove Baptist Church in Cornelia before moving to Ellenwood and joining The Rock Baptist Church, where she was a loving dedicated member. She is currently a member of First Baptist Church of Morrow where she has been blessed with caring Ministers during her illness. She loved her Lord, her family and her church and was a blessing to all of them. She is survived by her husband, Douglas W Davis, Ellenwood, one son John David Davis, Houston, TX, her second mother, Faye Wright, Cornelia, brother and sister in law, Richard and Geneva Wright, Forest Park, and sister and brother in law, Joy and Clay Echols, Alto, GA; One niece, two nephews, two grand- nephews, and one grand- niece; three step-children and two step-grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 5-8p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 and a Funeral Service at 11a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors, Morrow, GA.
