Willa Ragsdale Nichols

Willa Nichols, of Rex, passed away on April 27, 2015. A service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jonesboro on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 11:00am. Pastor Chris Reynolds will be officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8pm. Willa was a dedicated employee with Sears and retired from there after 17 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for many years having served as a Sunday school teacher and nursery worker. She was also a member of the women's group, WMU, and the church choir, in years past. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Demay Ragsdale; brother, Juriel Ragsdale; sisters, Vivian Lipham, Sue Barker, and Ola Jo Ragsdale, and her husband of 23 years, Calvin Nichols. She is survived by step-daughter, Rachel (David) Smith; two step-granddaughters, Paige (Brian) Thomas, and Christian (J P Flynn); step-great grandson, Kellen Flynn; special nieces and nephews, Lonette Daniel, Roger Lipham, Dina East, Linda Brannon, Brenda Paul, Tami Lipham, Wanda Freeman, Berenna Reynolds, Sarah Lipham, Marie Hudgins, and Brian Lipham. She also leaves behind caregivers, Debra and Juan Stone, as well as other cousins and in-laws, her church family, friends and neighbors. Rest in peace, Aunt Willa. You WILL be missed. Thomas L.
